One of the fiddliest jobs in maths is dealing with quadratic equations, especially if the solutions are not "real". Normally you need to use the quadratic formula... but not today !

Put the numbers for your quadratic equation in the boxes, then click SOLVE. 5z4l2s

If a term has a negative coefficient, put in a "-" before the number.
If a term has a coefficient of one then you must put a "1" in the box

You get the two solutions worked out to loads of decimal places. If the solution is mixed, then the imaginary bit is marked with an "i".

What a shame you can't take this into a GCSE exam with you!
